In 2007, the North American and the South American regions came together for the first ever Latin American Conference
held in Jaco, Costa Rica.
The photo is of the attending CS
leaders from Brazil, Peru, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador. Those who
attended that conference were so encouraged that we vowed to meet every two years.
En 2007, los Christian Surfers de Norte, Centro y Sur América, se
reunieron para realizar la primera Conferencia Latinoamericana; que
tuvo como sede Jacó en Costa Rica.
En la foto aparecen de CS participantes, llegados de Brazil, Perú, Panamá, Costa
Rica y El Salvador; quienes acordaron reunirse cada dos años.

The conference for 2009 will be held in El Salvador and we will change
the name to "The Americas Conference" to reflect more the unity between
North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean.
It will hosted by the national director Salvador Castellanos.
The theme of the 2009 conference will be RELATIONSHIPS.
We will explore:
• Strengthening and expanding our relationships with each other as Christian Surfer leaders
• Seeking and building new relationships within the world surfing community

• Wednesday July 22 - Leadeship meeting for the International Director, Regional Coordinators and National Directors.

Thursday July 23 through Saturday July 25 will be the general
conference. There will be an inspirational speaker and each national
director will have time to present what is happening in their country.

Monday July 20, Tuesday July 21 and Sunday July 26 Our host for the
conference Salvador Castellanos will plan surf trips and mission
activities for those who want to attend.
The ISA World Games of Surfing will be held in Costa Rica following the conference from July 27 through August 8.
There
will be many opportunities to serve at this event and I encourage you
all to consider adding a stop over at the end of your trip.

Salvador, bajo el nuevo nombre de “Conferencia de las Américas”, que
busca reflejar mejor la unidad entre Norte, Centro, Sur América y el
caribe.
Salvador Castellanos, director nacional de CS El Salvador, será nuestro anfitrión.
El tema de la conferencia 2009 será: RELACIONES.
Y exploraremos:
• Como fortalecer y expandir nuestras relaciones como líderes de Christian Surfers.
• Como buscar y construir nuevas relaciones dentro de la comunidad mundial de surf.

Miércoles 22 de julio – Reunión del líderazgo, para el Director
Internacional, Coordinadores Regionales y Directores Nacionales.

Jueves 23 a sábado 25 de julio. Conferencia general. Se contará con
un orador especial y cada Director Nacional compartirá lo que está
ocurriendo en su país.
• Lunes 20, martes 21 y domingo 26 de
julio. Nuestro anfitrión Salvador Castellanos ha organizado
excursiones de surf y actividades misioneras para los que gusten
asistir.
El Campeonato Mundial de Surfing, ISA, se realizará en
Jacó, Costa Rica, inmediatamente después de la conferencia; entre el 27
de julio y el 8 de agosto.
Habrán numerosas oportunidades de
servir en este evento, por ello los animo a considerar su asistencia
luego de la conferencia en El Salvador.
